Wolford records strong first quarter
Wolford saw sales rise 4.6% to €31.9 million (£25.4m) for the first quarter ended July 31.
Wolford, the lingerie and hosiery brand, said it had recorded growth in almost all of its international markets and had seen double digit growth in the UK, Central and Eastern Europe, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and France. Sales were also ahead in Germany and the US but sales in the Wolford's domestive market, Austria, fell back slightly.
Wolford's shops saw a slight increase in sales for the three month period but this was against tough comparatives. Last year the stores recorded a 30.2% rise in sales.
Wolford said it expected sales and earnings to be positive for the current fiscal year.

Is now the time to launch a quality women's footwear factory in the UK?"
