Pure Spirit kicks off search for young talent
Pure Spirit, a spin-off of the contemporary womenswear event Pure London, has launched a competition to find talented young designers as part of its Next Generation initiative.
The two winners of the competition, which aims to discover designers with a commercial and original young fashion focus, will be given a free stand at Pure Spirit. The show runs from 13-15 February at Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London.
The entries for the competition, which is open to British and international designers in menswear, womenswear and accessories, will be reviewed by a judging panel set to include fashion editors, buyers and designers. Fourteen designers will be shortlisted and two winners will be selected from the entries.
The shortlisted designers will be announced in the Drapers Next Generation supplement in January. Fourteen of the shortlisted designers will be invited to exhibit at the trade show at a lower rate of £600.
The designers will also be invited to showcase their designs at the event and on the catwalk at Pure Spirit.
