Speaking of their online performance - a significant percentage of their online traffic last year came from social networking sites (double digits) - we know, because we have access to research data. Are you exploiting this angle? We are Screen Pages. We specialise in online retail and nothing else and we manage the online activities of over 80 retailers (small independents to plc size). Comment on: Online clothing and footwear sales soar 20%
No surprises there really - people will still buy on the high street but the shift to online buying will continue as it's convenient with modern lifestyles. What surprises me though is the fact that a lot of retailers still aren't taking advantage of their online channel at all or are under-investing in it. I.e., you wouldn't attempt to open a high street store in a hap-hazzard manner, online is no different. I notice in the previous article, ASOS are going to retail independents - you would hope each of those also sold directly online otherwise it's missed opportunity. Wouldn't you want to take advantage of this channel?

Comment on: Online sales to soar 32% this year
Based on our client performance data I'd agree with this. Of our 80+ clients online (the majority of whom are fashion), our multi-channel clients are out performing our single-channel e-tailers by up to three to one. In addition, across the board, all of our clients (single and multi-channel) have seen a big leap in year on year growth (mar 07 to mar 08) and that trend is set to continue.
