Bosse Myhr, 27
Head merchandiser, Dover Street Market, London
Bosse Myhr joined concept store Dover Street Market in London at its inception five years ago, initially working part time then joining the staff full time after graduating from Westminster University with a degree in media studies.
“I was part time in theory, but actually worked six or seven days a week around my university timetable. I became concessions manager, and was rewarded for my hard work with a promotion to head merchandiser when I joined the business full time.”
Myhr started his career in fashion in Paris on the wholesale team at Comme des Garçons, and also worked in the German premium fashion store Thomas I Punkt in Hamburg where he grew up.
Myhr says: “It’s been a lot of hard work, but I have also been in the right place at the right time. I want to keep on doing well at what I do everyday – and the great thing is that everyday is different in this business.”
Lewis Alexander, founder of the eponymous luxury recruitment firm, says: “In fashion nothing speaks louder than results and Dover Street Market has increased its turnover three fold over the last three years. Bosse Myhr understands the need for highly creative buying balanced with commerciality and product development. He will go on to buying or merchandise director without doubt.”
