Loafers and Espadrilles

Once again the trend for kicked back, relaxed men's footwear styles reared its not so ugly head at Barcelona, via a trend for espadrilles and loafers. Although there were no rope soles in sight, espadrille-like canvas slip-ons with folded down backs were shown by the likes for Fred Perry while Peter Werth showed a strong line in loafers. Rather than the hard nature of penny loafers, the loafers on show were subtle in construction and fabrication came in the form of slouchy leathers and butter soft suedes. An extremely wearable option.
