Gingham
Gingham featured in many brand's collections providing a crisp antidote to the hippy looks on offer elsewhere. The look was redolent of the 1950s in its simple and fresh approach and featured across boys and girlswear either as an all over fabric or as a trim. Black and white seemed to be the most popular colour combination particularly among the more premium and occasionwear focused labels. Multi coloured ginghams were seen at casualwear brands such as Scotch and Soda where it was used on boyswear and teamed with sweats and jeans for a more rough edged approach.
