Hippy Chic

Spring 09 looks set to be summer of love in kidswear with looks straight out of Woodstock showing on the catwalks and throughout collections on stands. Washed out flared jeans formed the foundation to put this look together. These were teamed with long floaty tops often layered in patchwork floral and Indian style paisley prints.

The other key item was the maxi dress mostly seen with spaghetti straps and smock tops. These two looks were accessorised with a floppy hat and a simple envelope style bag worn long, Tie dyes on T-shirts and dresses were also prevalent as were handkerchief hems on dresses. Denim, cheesecloth and cotton voiles as well as viscose jerseys were key fabrics.
