Shine

Although there was plenty of sparkle still about at Pitti Filati for spring 09, it was surface shine that was the dominant look, which will produce fluid, finer-gauge softly-draping knits via viscose yarns. The overall look was sophisticated and quintessentially Italian.

Sequined, coated and woven styles reinforced the shiny looks in both casual and formal fabrics. The profusion of pale golds, pewters and pearlised silvers suggested there is little chance of these metallics disappearing from the radar any time soon
