By drawing inspiration from iconic looks of the 1920s to 1950s, Coast has embodied the glamorous couture era with strong, feminine silhouettes, alongside sumptuous fabrics and textures, such as feather and fur.

The collection has a romantic feel embracing layering, but sharp tailoring is also pivotal. Outerwear plays a key role as pleated duchess satin skirts, structured organza blouses, red taffeta shirts and wool wide leg trousers sit alongside Coast's core occasionwear lines. A weekend break is catered for with Coast's Parisienne capsule collection, which focuses on beautifully tailored classics, lightweight stripy knits and chic cocktail dresses. Coast's second footwear collection is also steeped in high-octane glamour. Styles extend from chunky platforms, chic courts and pumps to sweet ballet flats.

Right for the market?
Coast is known for its classic occassionwear, which appeals to the 30+ core customer, but by experimenting with new fabrics, such as Dutch satin, and the use of layering, it is sure to draw in a younger crowd. The collection tantalises the 20+ age range with vibrant, fashion led pieces such as a Hermosa dip dye red dress.
