Dorothy Perkins has chosen this autumn to be its season of the coat, showing 20 different outerwear styles, from military suede jackets and tweed cocoon shapes to boiled wool fit and flare styles and a pink and purple mohair check coat. Alongside the coat-dominated collection, there were bubble-hemmed paisley dresses and plenty of pleats, bibs and pussy bow-adorned blouses and tops. Attention to detail is shown through the mini ruffles on a leather jacket, exposed and oversized zips and scatterings of sparkly beading. Net roses lead the way as DP's floral interpretation.

Right for the market?
The coats here are really fantastically, with styles that show a more fashion aware bent than we've seen before at Dorothy Perkins. This is great for the more contemporary style DP's is trying to create, yet the wearability of not only the outerwear but the blouses and dresses too make this a particularly strong season for the brand.
