Buyer’s notes

There were plenty of other pieces and mini-trends that caught the eye in Berlin – here are some of the best

Bear in mind

While shearling is still on trend, some grown men and women were hankering after their teddies with trims and linings, like this jacket from Farah Vintage, reminiscent of the fur on cuddly toys.

Quilty Pleasures

It’s a trend that’s set to run and run – for autumn 12 quilting was moved on, popping up on short bomber jackets and contrast panels, rather than the classic countryside styles.

Make yours a mini

Despite the fact it was an autumn 12 show, mini-length shorts and skirts were found among quite a few of the womenswear brands. Brrrr.

The future’s bright

Having seen colour in abundance on the autumn 11 catwalks, it’s refreshing to see it at B&B two seasons later, breaking up the usual navy, grey, brown and black palette.
