German fashion brand Gerry Weber has signed a deal to open its first UK store outside of London.
The Germany fashion brand will open a 3,100 sq ft store in Cambridge Grand Arcade. It already has a flagship store in London's Regent Street.
Neil Barber head of Retail Leasing at the Grosvenor, the Grand Arcade's developer, said: "There is massive pent up demand for quality space in Cambridge's retail market. The city ranks fourth highest in the UK in terms of demand from leading retailers but until now opportunities to gain representation have been few and far between. In addition to the deals just signed we have a significant number in solicitors' hands and will be announcing many more exchanges over the coming weeks."
Grand Arcade is a 450,000 sq ft retail development due to open on March 27. Over half of the retailers entering Grand Arcade are new to Cambridge including G-Star, Hugo Boss and River Island.
