Delmod's parent company CFC has taken over the order books for Hirsch for autumn 08, following the German brand's collapse earlier this year.

CFC has secured an exclusive licence to sell Hirsch for autumn 08 and its Delmod brand will handle all existing orders, production and deliveries. CFC has reassured stockists there will be no "insolvency-related" issues with quality or supply.

However, negotiations for the full acquisition of the Hirsch trademark are ongoing, and are believed to involve several parties, including CFC.
Hirsch filed for insolvency on January 28. Sales for the 2006/07 financial year were €30 million (£22.9m).

CFC chief executive Marcus Linnepe said: "I am pleased about the acquisition of the exclusive licence for Hirsch. The co-operation with Delmod assures customers of a continuing business relation with the Hirsch quality and fit."
