The funeral for Yves Saint Laurent, one of the industry's most influential designers, will take place on Thursday afternoon in Paris.

Yves Saint Laurent passed away at 11.10pm Paris time on Sunday in the presence of long standing friend and business partner Pierre Berge and his friend and muse Betty Catroux. The cause of death was given as brain cancer.

The funeral service is scheduled for 3.30pm on Thursday at the Eglise Saint-Roch at 296 Rue Saint Honore in Paris. Following the service Saint Laurent will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered at his famous Majorelle Garden at his home in Marrakech.
