Classic womenswear brand Windsmoor, part of the Jacques Vert group, is set to relaunch for autumn 08 with a more contemporary, fashion-led collection.

Brand director Alex Warner said the autumn range would help bring Windsmoor into the 21st century.

"The new collection is focused on beautiful tailoring, combined with modern separates," she said. "We have really focused on who the customer is, the 45-plus woman and her needs."

Windsmoor has also launched a limited edition collection for autumn 08 to celebrate its 75th anniversary, featuring about 25 pieces. It will go into 25 stores.

Windsmoor has about 120 concessions in the UK, RoI and Canada, and next year will open standalone stores in the UK.

Jacques Vert, which also owns the Planet and Precis Petite chains, last week posted a like-for-like sales drop of 5.9% for the 10 weeks since April 26.
