Basler adds sub-brand

German mainstream womens-wear brand Basler has launched a premium sub-brand for spring 09 called Basler Collection.

The brand focuses on trend-led signature items, and has been developed to help Basler attract a more contemporary shopper. The current Basler range will be rebranded Basler Black Label and will remain true to Basler's classic mainstream look.

Basler Collection will be piloted via a select number of more contemporary Basler stockists for its first two seasons before its official launch – mooted for spring 10. An international marketing campaign will support its main launch.

The spring 09 look has a sport luxe feel with neutral tones and shiny, scrunch fabrics adding interest. Key pieces include cropped trousers, zip-up trenches and shirts with shine fabrics.
