Andy Rigg is to step down from Lee Cooper after three years in the latest in a series of high-profile departures in the young branded fashion sector.
Rigg, who is group head of marketing and licensing at Lee Cooper, was part of the new management team that was installed following the £30.5 million private equity buyout of the denim brand from value chain Matalan in 2005. The reason for Rigg's departure is unclear.
Elsewhere in the market, Nigel Addison, sales and marketing director of streetwear label Duck And Cover, is to step down from his position after 10 years and Mukesh Desai, sales and marketing director for the UK and Europe at streetwear brand Etienne Ozeki, is to leave after seven years with the company.
Addison will depart to take up the newly created position of sales director for the UK and Eire at lingerie and swimwear specialists Eveden.
Duck And Cover chief executive Ashwin Shah said that he was searching for a replacement for Addison: "Nigel has been an integral part of our business and its growth over this time.
"He has made a major contribution to the success of Duck And Cover and in making it one of the best-performing brands in our sector."
Eveden managing director Tracy Lewis added: "We're very excited about Nigel joining us as he has a wealth of experience in the branded sector and is familiar with a diverse customer base."
Meanwhile, Desai said that he intended to remain in the industry. He said: "I love the industry. I have something new in the pipeline."
