Blue Blood has hired a new head of design from Viktor & Rolf and secured a new agent to push UK sales.

The Dutch premium denim brand, established in 2003, has hired Erik Frenken from the Dutch designer label to increase fashion credentials on its womenswear line.
Blue Blood, which is positioned alongside brands such as Maison Martin Margiela and Prps, has also signed a deal with new agency Concrete Studio.

The agency, set up by former G-Star salesman Paul Young and ex-Old Glory account manager Richard Shackleton, has taken on the brand from the autumn 08 season.
Blue Blood currently has 50 UK stockists including Harrods and Sarah Coggles in York. Concrete Studio intends to grow its distribution.

The denim brand was founded by Jason Denham and Steve te Pas. Te Pas is best known for bringing Evisu jeans to Europe from Japan.
