Sandy Goldsbrough has been appointed trading director at Jane Norman retailer.

Goldsbrough previousloy held senior positions at both Karen Millen and Ghost and it is thought she has been lined up as the eventual successor to Jane Norman chief executive Saj Shah.

Shah kicked off the search for his successor earlier this year ahead of his retirement, which is likely to come in the next five years.

Shah said: "Sandy's tremendous experience in design led fashion businesses will be enormously helpful in taking the Jane Norman brand forward and maximizing our opportunities both in the UK and internationally."
