Anders kristiansen new look
Rounding off our top 10 this year is New Look boss Anders Kristiansen. The young fashion multiple had a strong start to 2016, after revealing that underlying profit for the year to March 26 jumped 14% to £174.7m, against a 5.4% uplift in sales to £1.5bn, driven by multichannel, menswear and “continued success” in China. The retailer had 92 stores in China by year-end and will open a further 50 over the next 12 months. It also opened its first German store this autumn. Menswear has been a great success story for the firm: it has opened 14 standalone menswear stores so far and plans to launch 20 more each year in the UK and internationally over the next five years. New Look won Fashion Retailer of the Year (£500m+ turnover) at the Drapers Awards 2016, for the second year running.
