If we had to pick the most anticipated opening of 2016, it would be London’s inspirational relaunched concept store Dover Street Market.

If we had to pick the most anticipated opening of 2016, it would probably be London’s inspirational relaunched concept store Dover Street Market. Created by Rei Kawakubo, founder of the fashion brand Comme des Garçons, and her husband, Adrian Joffe, the store is known for its conceptual and boundary-pushing approach to visual merchandising, as well as its superior brand mix, which ranges from the directional and high-end to fresh graduates and of-the-moment skatewear brands.

Kawakubo and Joffe moved the store from Dover Street in Mayfair to London’s Haymarket in March.  At more than 31,000 sq ft, the new unit is double the size of the original.
