Ed Burstell

Ed Burstell carved out a name for himself as managing director of department store Liberty of London over the past eight years.

During that time, he established Liberty’s first pop-up shops with Hermès and Manolo Blahnik, as well as collaborations with Nike and Uniqlo – and allowed Channel 4 in to film his team preparing for Christmas trading in 2013.

Now Burstell, who started his career as a fragrance department manager at Macy’s in New York, is off to take up the newly created role of head of partnerships at Canadian retailer Hudson’s Bay Company, which has more than 470 stores and 66,000 employees worldwide. We look forward to seeing what he does across the pond.
