Mary homer, managing director, topshop
It has been a steady year for Mary Homer and her Topshop team, maintaining the womenswear retailer’s position as a high street trailblazer despite a bumpy time for parent company Arcadia’s boss Sir Philip Green.
Homer has continued Topshop’s expansion, with new international stores including two in Germany and one in New Zealand.
Under her watchful eye, Topshop’s premium label Topshop Unique impressed at London Fashion Week, as it was one of the first British brands to turn its catwalk show into a straight-to-store selling platform, following the likes of Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger. The label won the gong for Best Marketing Campaign in the Drapers Awards 2016.
Topshop also hit the headlines when it launched Ivy Park, the athleisure brand created by Green in partnership with singer Beyoncé.
