Drapers Top 100 2016 – 76. Kieran O’Neill, co-founder and chief executive,

New entry founder Kieran O'Neill founder Kieran O’Neill founder Kieran O’Neill

A new entry this year, Kieran O’Neill is one to watch. The co-founder of men’s personal styling website Thread was selected as one of Drapers 30 under 30 stars of the future in 2016. Thread is not his first rodeo: before that, he launched and sold two successful tech companies.

Founded with Ben Phillips and Ben Kucsan in 2012, Thread combines personal stylists with a sophisticated algorithm to dress its customers. This year it secured another £4m in funding from private equity firm Beringea, existing investor Balderton Capital, and a number of angel investors. Thread will use the funding to expand in the UK.

No surprise, then, that Thread’s roster of brands keeps on growing, now numbering more than 1,000.
