New life has been breathed into womenswear brand Ghost, where sales were up 33% on 2017, and online sales rose by 43%. Its five wholesale stockists include Selfridges, which began carrying Ghost for the first time last April.

It has a flagship on London’s King’s Road, and plans to open two further stores in the capital in early 2019. Meanwhile, in August, menswear chain Hawes & Curtis opened a new 2,070 sq ft store at Westfield London.

Dragons’ Den star Suleyman bought a minority stake womenswear etailer Finery in January last year, and has backed start-ups such as boat shoe brand Docks Rio and luxury handbag label Huxley & Cox. His supplier business, Low-Profile Fashion, works with retailers including Marks & Spencer.
