Since joining Boden as CEO in February 2017, Jill Easterbrook has been overseeing its ongoing transformation into an international multichannel retailer.
She is leading a redevelopment of its website infrastructure that will enable it to be more flexible and customer-focused.
In September, Boden warned that the investment may dent its profits in the short term. However, in its most recent results, for the year to 31 December 2017, it posted a 4.2% rise in pre-tax profits to £27.3m.
Group sales rose 13% to £347.1m after its expanded concessions in John Lewis and own stores on London’s King’s Road helped to improve visibility of the Boden range – leading to a 14% increase in first-time customers during the year.
Sales have continued to rise in the first half of this year, up 12%. In May, Boden opened its first shopping centre store in Westfield London in White City.
