Christos Angelides, CEO, Reiss

This has been a transitional year for Reiss, as CEO Christos Angelides seeks to refresh the brand, its product and the online proposition.

During the year, Reiss signed a global shoe and accessories licensing agreement with Global Brands Group, a franchise agreement with South Korean department stores Shinsegae, and wholesale accounts with Nordstrom in the US and El Corte Inglés in Spain.

Sales rose 4.6% to £172.2m for the year to 3 February 2018, but EBITDA fell 26% year on year to £14.2m as a result of product availability issues, the weakness of sterling and investment in the website. However, in October, Angelides said the product availability issues have been rectified and he expects improved profit growth in the current financial year.
