Bernard Arnault, chairman and chief executive officer, LVMH

The designer merry-go-round has continued at LVMH-owned brands including Celine and Dior Men this year, but Arnault remains at the head of the luxury group LVMH – driving impressive growth.

Fashion sales for the first nine months of 2018 grew by 20% to €13bn (£11.4bn), as its flagship brands, including Louis Vuitton, Dior and Celine, performed well.

As with other luxury giants, LVMH is increasingly turning its attention to technology, and in April unveiled a start-up incubator that will support 50 businesses a year with the aim of inspiring business innovations within the company.
