John Idol, CEO, Michael Kors Holdings

As the CEO of Michael Kors Holdings since 2003, John Idol is leading the US business on its journey to becoming, in his words, “one of the world’s leading fashion luxury groups”.

Sales of the Michael Kors brand declined in Europe during the three months to 29 September, but overall group revenues rose by almost 10% to $1.25bn (£952.6m).

The biggest news for the company came when, in September, Michael Kors Holdings bought Italian brand powerhouse Versace for £1.6bn.

This follows its acquisition of luxury footwear brand Jimmy Choo in 2017.
