It has been another good year for Pentland Brands, which signed a deal to be the new global footwear licence partner for Karen Millen, adding to its existing portfolio, which includes Lacoste, Kickers, Ellesse and SeaVees. 

It also agreed a joint venture deal with Lacoste, and bought cycling clothing brand Endura.

In March, Pentland restructured its executive team to help drive international growth. Matt Rock, previously global supply chain director, was appointed president of Asia-Pacific and Carl Davies, previously global customer director, was appointed president of UK, EMEA and Americas.

Revenue at Pentland Group, which comprises Pentland Brands and a majority stake in JD Sports Fashion, increased by 25% to £3.6bn in the year to 31 December 2017. Group operating profits before amortisation and exceptional items rose by 14% to £376m.
