As the owner of brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen, Kering’s influence continues to grow, and, with Pinault at the helm, this year it led the way on sustainability.
The luxury brand house published its environmental report in June, providing transparency on its sustainable activity and supply chains. At the G7 summit in August, Pinault answered French president Emmanuel Macron’s challenge and brought together global fashion leaders to sign the new sustainable Fashion Pact. The CEO has also committed to an ambitious long-term target of becoming carbon neutral within its own operations and across its entire supply chain.
Kering has continued to drive growth across its brands. In October, it reported an 11.6% year-on-year rise in third-quarter revenues to €3.9bn (£3.4bn).
