Abercrombie & Fitch to open Spanish store

American casualwear retailer Abercrombie & Fitch is to open its first store in Spain on Thursday (November 3).

The 12,379 sq ft store situated in the in the iconic 19th-century Palacio de Aguas in Madrid, is spread over four floors and is Abercombie’s seventh wholly-owned store outside of its US home market.

The young fashion label launched its first European flagship near London’s Saville Row four years ago, and last May opened a flagship store in France on Paris’ Champs-Elysées. The retailer has also opened stores in Milan, Copenhagen, Brussels and Tokyo.

According to reports, Abercrombie & Fitch is soon to start work on a second Spanish store in Barcelona’s Paseo de Gràcia.
