Independent kidswear etailer has inked a deal to become the official global online stockist of designer brand Burberry’s kids’ range, after notching up record trading figures over Christmas and January.

The business will bolster its branded line-up, which includes D&G, Ralph Lauren, Scotch & Soda and No Added Sugar, with the addition of Burberry this spring. has been trading for 18 months and sales over the nine weeks to January 25 were up 330% year on year. Average basket value increased by 9% over the period and shopper conversion rate was up 65% year on year. chief executive Alex Theophanous said: “We remain cautiously optimistic about the outlook for in 2009. We believe our luxury brands and the internet are proving resilient to the current economic climate. We envisage putting more investment into key strategies to deliver further growth in 2009.”
