The look

Designer Michael Herz took a trip back to the 1960s in a polished presentation which played heavily to Aquascutum’s strengths in tailoring and outerwear. Tailored separates, structured sleeveless shift dresses and narrow cigarette trousers in the distinctive house-check provided plenty of commercial signposts back to the brand. With a slightly older 35-plus customer in mind, this was a moneyed look for whom quality, fit and fabrication come before fly-by-night trend.

Key pieces

Rounded oversized collars on belted jackets alongside the fitted trench coat with military button references captured the essence of the 1960s. Slim and tapered, trousers were cut to perfection and were teamed with statement tops, some with puffed shoulders and dramatic pussy bows.
