Armani Exchange appoints Patrick Robinson

Armani’s fast-fashion sub-brand Armani Exchange has appointed US designer Patrick Robinson as its new creative director.

Robinson, who begins his new role with immediate effect, was previously at American casualwear retailer Gap between 2007 and 2011 as president of design for the Gap Adult and Gap Body divisions.

At Armani Exchange he will oversee product development as well as assisting the marketing department with its creative vision.

He will report directly to the brand’s chief executive Harlan Bratcher

Since leaving Gap in 2011 the designer, who has also held positions at Paco Rabanne, Perry Ellis and Anne Klein, has kept a relatively low profile but recently launched a casual clothing line named Pashko.
