Online shopping giant Asos has launched a new app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The release follows year-on-year growth of more than 800% in mobile revenue at the company.
Key features of the new app include ‘save for later’ where products can be saved for review later, a shopping bag and a map tool to locate nearby drop off points for returns.
James Hart, Asos ecommerce director, said: “We decided to take a considered approach to releasing these first apps, so that their foundations were rock-solid, thereby allowing us to now develop and improve the experiences at pace.”
Hart said the new apps were designed to sync with customers’ main Asos account and have real-time stock availability. App-specific features include offline browsing of the newest styles and a speedy and convenient search for people on the go.
The app comes a month after the launch of the ASOS Magazine app, and a year since the launch of its dedicated mobile site.
