Asos has boosted its delivery proposition by enabling customers to choose their own one-hour delivery slots.
The service, named Precise, will enable Asos customers to choose their own delivery date and time between the hours of 11am and 5pm. The new service is through partnership with parcel delivery firm DPD and costs £5.95.
Fulfilment continues to be a hot battleground for retailers as customers demand more convenience when it comes to the delivery of their orders. Retailers have moved on from just delivering to customers’ houses; today customers can receive their orders at their office, pick up from a local shop or Post Office and collect from store.
Matt Rogers, director of delivery solutions and inbound supply chain at Asos, said: “Precise is another first for Asos and a huge leap forward on our customer focused delivery proposition. Our customers love getting their deliveries quickly and tell us they want control and choice over how and when their parcels arrive. Precise gives them exactly that.”
He added that the service enables the etailer to remain competitive.
