Australia and New Zealand - a combination to be reckoned with...

Max and Johnston, have teamed up to create a range - “Kirrily Johnston Loves Maxshop”, which is available in-store now and on-line at

Kirrily Johnston is no stranger to the New Zealand fashion scene, showing  at Air New Zealand Fashion Week last year (the first Australian designer to do so).  Her show attracted a lot of attention, and Max obviously saw potential, as they approached Kirrily just prior to the event, about designing a range.  She jumped at the chance, her first retailer collaboration, and with Max’s reputation in New Zealand I’d say it was a good choice.

The collection, which is a neutral, muted palette of greys, black, plums and golds, consists of tops, polonecks, jackets, dresses and pants.  The collection features a lot of ‘trend driven’ pieces, with draping and layering being a key look.  The pieces seem to have been designed with versatility in mind, with many able to be worn in a multitude of ways, with careful draping, tying and accessorising.

Pieces range from NZ$99 for a merino poloneck, up to NZ$349 for a 100% silk samurai dress, so a range of budgets are catered for.  It’s well worth checking out the collection for yourself at
