Berghaus brand president Richard Cotter is leaving the business next month, after seven years at the helm.
Cotter is stepping down in August to join Snow + Rock Group as chief executive. He was at Berghaus parent Pentland Brands for a decade, having joined initially as managing director for hillwalking specialist Brasher, before being promoted to his current role.
Pentland will recruit a replacement, and on an interim basis the business will be managed by the existing executive team.
Pentland Brands chief executive Andy Rubin said: “Over the last seven years, Richard has led the development of the brand into a truly global player with Berghaus now operating in 48 countries. We would like to thank Richard for his dedicated leadership and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
Cotter added: “My heartfelt thanks go to the team at Pentland, especially to everyone at Berghaus, for their support. It is an exceptional brand, nurtured by a very talented team and I am sure they will continue to go from strength to strength.”
