Bottega Veneta

Key looks
Loose trousers worn high and teamed with nipped in db jackets in a Riviera palette of navy and white

Inspiration
With doses of 007, a streak of marina and super-soft fabrics in abundance this was the travelling man’s wardrobe par excellence

Silhouettes
With plenty of eyes swivelled Tomas Maier’s way, the designer eschewed last season’s casual bias but kept the silhouette – buttoning tight above; billowing below while the db came in updated narrow jacketing

Fabrics
Soft nappa, calfskin, cashmere, twill chinos. The Bottega Veneta man is one swaddled in luxury.

Colours
All emphasised leisure. Contrast stories included white and cream contrasted with navy or brick red while pure white and blue-striped suits all looked more geared to cocktail sipping than board room fuming.
