Marni designers Molly Molloy and Kristin Forss, along with former Vogue staffer and stylist Lucinda Chambers, have launched contemporary womenswear brand Colville exclusively with Matchesfashion.
Colville has taken its name from the west London terrace where David Hockney resided in the 1970s, and was created as an extension of the trio’s personal styles.
The industry stalwarts have created an eclectic collection focused on strong silhouettes, thoughtful garment construction and attention to detail. Bold colours and unusual textures are present throughout the range.
The collection consists of 30 pieces, including sharp tailored outerwear, plissé graphic dresses, a folded pleated skirt, sporty jacquard knits, oversized trousers and cropped parkas.
Statement collaborations with jewellery designer Vicki Sarge and milliner Stephen Jones are also included in the collection
The designers said: “Colville is personal, modern and eclectic – it’s fearless and sensitive, eccentric and rigorous. We are three women coming together with a single vision.”
Colville is exclusive to luxury retailer Matchesfashion and has been available for purchase since 16 May. Prices range from £108 for a beanie to £1,560 for a wool-blend coat.
Matchesfashion’s fashion and buying director Natalie Kingham said: “When you have three such amazingly talented women as Lucinda, Molly, and Kristen joining forces to create a new brand, you cannot help but get very excited. I love what they’ve done with Colville. It feels new and original.”
