A round-up of the other streetwear trends making their mark at Bread & Butter for autumn 11
Biker jackets were yet again seen at trend powerhouse Burberry on the spring 11 catwalks. Interpretations at Bread & Butter featured padded and quilted shoulders and exposed zips.
Metallic finishes played an important role, from a gold sheen on a sheepskin jacket to chainmail-esque embellishment on dresses, and shiny threads woven through knitwear.
Small repeat patterns look to be the way to go for autumn 11, as large motifs were replaced at Bread & Butter by more subtle, stylised animal repeat patterns for a cutesy look.
Denim was the favoured fabric for the all-in-one and dungarees, as summer playsuits, along with the 1970s revival, eased the customer into adopting the trend in a more confident way.
Skinny jeans will continue to dominate commercially, but bootcut and flared styles have moved up the pecking order after they were all over the spring 11 womenswear catwalks.
