British Fashion Council unveils provisional schedule for London Collections: Men

Dunhill, Hackett, Belstaff, Burberry, Christopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders are among the names that will take part in the British Fashion Council’s inaugural menswear event London Collections: Men.

Hackett and Dunhill will host presentations, while Belstaff will host an exclusive collection preview. Designer Paul Smith will host an event at BAFTA and there will be a Burberry Timepieces presentation.

Designers Christopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders are scheduled to show their menswear collections while Richard Nicoll, will debut his men’s line at the event, which runs from June 14 to 17.

In addition to over 50 shows and presentations across the three days, Burberry, Esquire & Mr Porter, GQ and Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Spencer Hart and Tom Ford will all host events.

There will also be a platform for new and emerging design talent from Man and Newgen Men initiatives, sponsored by Topman.

Shows and events will take place at venues across London with The Hospital Club in Covent Garden becoming the central hub for London Collections: Men.

The BFC has said that HRH The Prince of Wales will host a reception to celebrate the launch of the event on June 14.

At the same time as releasing the provisional schedule (detailed below) today, the BFC has also launched a website for the event which will feature updates and information relating to the event.

People wishing to mention the event on Twitter are invited to do so via the #londoncollections hashtag.

A full and final schedule is expected to be unveiled in early May.

  • Usual suspects all present and correct - shame the big names are only doing dinners (to which virtually no one will be invited) or presentations. But we have to start somewhere - let's just hope the standard is strong across the three days and it grows.

    Also, Superdry & Timothy Everest? Pardon? Let's hope Superdry havedone their sums on this one...
