Katy Tsang has hit the ground running since joining the F&F team in July 2014. Securing promotion to merchandise planner just three months in, she has her eyes on her ultimate ambition of becoming director at a blue-chip company.

Tsang has had a passion for merchandising since becoming a home furnishings merchandise assistant at discount department store TJ Hughes in August 2010. Feeling her next move had to be in fashion, she joined Republic as a menswear assistant merchandiser a year later.

“I realised that to fulfil my ambition, my next step would need to take me to London,” she recalls. “I moved away from home on the Wirral with the aim to get a job at a top retailer.” Enter Reiss. Tsang joined as womenswear assistant merchandiser in March 2012 and during her more than two years at the company learnt a strong work ethic first-hand from owner David Reiss.

After progressing to senior assistant merchandiser in January this year, Tsang felt the need to move to a more corporate environment, joining F&F as an assistant merchandise planner in July.

F&F merchandise planning manager Nicola Cook admires Tsang’s drive and ambition. “Katy has built relationships with colleagues across the business and takes every opportunity to drive F&F forward. She is positive, energetic and a real asset.”
