South/southwest sales manager, Joseph Ribkoff.
A qualified carpenter by trade, Tom Rowe decided it was time for a career shift as the recession hit in 2008.
The fashion industry felt like the right fit after years doing work experience with his father, Mark Rowe, UK sales director for Canadian womenswear brand Joseph Ribkoff.
Starting off in the brand’s stock room in 2008 gave Rowe junior a real understanding of the collections, so when an opening came up to join the sales team in 2009 he jumped at the chance.
Within a year, Tom was managing sales for the southwest region, a challenge he embraced wholeheartedly, achieving the biggest sales increase for the Joseph Ribkoff across Europe. He has grown his territory to the whole south region, which is on track for further growth this fiscal year.
Success has come from being tenacious, persistent and always treating people with respect, qualities admired by his father. “Tom is constantly on the road, giving excellent service and support to his customer base, which enables him to keep driving his area forward and surpass the targets set by the company,” says Mark Rowe.
It might not be long before Rowe junior follows in the footsteps of his role model, Ted Baker founder Ray Kelvin, who built a globally successful brand.
