Social affiliate site Grabble will launch an app in June that enables users to ‘grab’ product while on the move.
With the Grabble app, users can download a stream of products by price, brand, colour, style or category and then swipe left or right to indicate whether to discard or grab an item. The app, which is integrated with the desktop site, has been described by founder Daniel Murray as a “Tinder for fashion”, in reference to the dating app.
Grabble, which began in beta stage in October 2013, officially launched the desktop site and grab button at the end of April, and already has more than 75 brand pages and 65,000 products on site.
It works by asking users to sign up and choose from a range of styles such as ‘Boho’ or ‘Chelsea girl’ and then pulls in a range of suggested products to suit the selection. Once users are signed up and have added the grab button to their bookmark bar, every time they see something they like on another website they can click the button to save it to their collections on Grabble.
Users can also create Grabble collections on the site, as can retailers and brands, which they can share on other social platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. Retailers already on the site include Asos, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Boohoo and Coast.
Retailers can set up brand pages for free - Asos’s shows collections such as ‘the minimal female’ and ‘the casual weekender’. Users can either click on an individual product within that collection to take them to the Asos site, or share the collection on social websites. Retailers can use the Grabble settings to reward followers with a discount code or voucher. If users follow a retailer or brand they are also notified when the brand goes on Sale.
