For a womenswear indie that is built around the concept that the three essential elements of an outfit are black, white and denim, the colour scheme for its online store is, of course, black and white.
Black White Denim’s site is easy to use with a simple top line navigation. The main shopping areas have no quirky design or layout elements that are flavour of the month on many other sites, but instead focus on product.
The product pages have still-life images which can be viewed on models when rolled over with the mouse, giving customers two views of the item without having to leave the page. Product can be filtered by brand, colour and size and when clicking through to an individual product page, users can view a number of image options and there is also a zoom tool. Detailed information including fabric and care options are clearly displayed and suggestions are made for other items to ‘get the look’ from the model shot.
