Recruiter reveals etail salary scale

Ecommerce recruitment firm Cranberry Panda has launched its Ecommerce Salary Review 2013.

The guide covers positions from ecommerce assistants to directors as well as online merchandiser roles and customer experience managers.

Cranberry Panda collated the data by comparing the information it holds on current job listings and salaries with the roles it had on its books last year, as well as researching other roles across the market.

According to the review, the average salary for an ecommerce director now ranges from £100,000 to £200,000 (up from £80,000 to £180,000 last year). In the more junior role of head of ecommerce, the salary band ranges from £60,000 to £100,000.

Social media managers should expect to enter the role on a similar salary to last year (£30,000) but can now reach up to £55,000, a £5,000 rise on the upper salary range in 2012. Mobile managers earn on average between £30,000 and £48,000.

Billie Graham, social media and marketing manager at Cranberry Panda, said: “The salaries across the board have increased this year and we’ve noticed more companies are embracing the need for user-experience designers, and data and web analysts.

“Digital marketing salaries have increased and companies are recognising the importance of content.”
