VIDEO: Is 3D pattern and sample making the future?

Fashion retailers are working with multiple factories across the world to produce an increasing number of collections resulting in a movement towards 3D technology for pattern, grading and sample making as they look to streamline processes and communications.

Drapers brought together over 30 specialists in this field from businesses including Shop Direct,, Topshop and Sweaty Betty, to discuss the trend and listen to a presentation from retail technology supplier Lectra about its 3D Modaris solution, which is being used by fashion reatilers such as F&F at Tesco and Matalan.

    The video would have been great to listen to... However the background voices are too loud and you cannot hear what these ladies are saying. They are drowned out. :o(
