As soon as you arrive on the home page at Coggles.com, the online store of York premium indie Sarah Coggles, the experience is a special one.

The site has clean lines and tidy fonts arranging text and navigational links ins a sensible way. But what sets it apart is the amazing home page collage.
A collection of fascinating thumbnail images gives you a peek into the various brands stocked, and they are arranged into a stunning work of art. ‘The Wall’ and ‘Street Style’ sections allow users to engage with the site, and both these sections are definitely worth a look.

The unique navigational tool that lets you browse the website works very well - it’s always a gamble going against the norm, but this has definitely paid off. There is always a link to click that seems more interesting than the last, and this is a great departure from the “always go back to the home page for ideas” mentality of some fashion websites.

The product mix also deserves a mention, as everything fits in with the fashionable lifestyle image that Coggles promotes, and you can buy anything from furniture to fashion from an array of both commercial and niche designers.

Overall, this is one of my favourite sites, and is a real inspiration. It’s only a matter of time before this website becomes a household name for all that is cool about ecommerce. This is something the big corporations spend millions trying to achieve and they still fail to be even half as trendy as Coggles.
